Did you know that there is no legal requirement for anyone to practice Hypnosis? This means that technically someone could read a book on Hypnosis, and then set up a Hypnosis Business and call themselves a Hypnotherapist.
The Australian Hypnotherapist’s Association (AHA) was founded in 1949. It is a National Peak Body who only accredit qualified Therapists who have undergone strict criteria, in order to join and maintain their qualifications. They were set up to provide the endorsement of your professional hypnotherapy skills that clients are looking for, so that you can trust that an AHA Member has done the required training to deliver the best possible service to their clients.
Carol is Clinical and 5-PATH Hypnotherapist. She originally received her Diploma in Clinical Hypnotherapy in 2005 with the NSW School of Hypnotic Sciences, then in 2009 trained to become a 5-PATH and 7th Path Hypnotherapist with Banyan Hypnosis, and since then has gone on to attain many other qualifications. She originally joined the AHA in 2011.
As a Clinical Member of the AHA, it means that Carol constantly upgrades her skills and training by undergoing Workshops throughout the year, on cutting edge techniques and new findings. This means she will receive Continued Education Credits and ensure she is equipped to give her clients the most up to date techniques to ensure their success. Carol also has to to Peer to Peer support 12 times a year, to maintain the high quality of professionalism required to be a part of the AHA.
Because Carol is a Clinical Member of the AHA, it also means that some Health Funds now offer rebates for her clients.
Carol’s AHA membership number is CM0310386. This is to be used as her Provider number for some funds.

Carol has been a Reiki Master and Teacher since 1999, and a Member of Reiki Australia since 2011. She is also the current Chair on the Board of Directors for Reiki Australia, and is a highly respected Healer and Teacher and leader in her field. Unfortunately at this time there are no Health Funds in Australia who currently allow claims for Reiki as a modality, as it is considered an complimentary and alternative therapy.
Please continue to ask your Health Fund to add Reiki as a recognised modality, so that many more people will be able to benefit for claiming.
